Civitella d’Agliano is a tipical medieval hamlet, built on a hilltop overlooking the Tiber valley and the famous 'calanchi'. It is difficult to establish the exact date of origin but can probably be traced back to the 11th century when a nobile family of Bagnoregio built the castle that still stands. It is close to Orvieto and the A1 morotway making trips to both Rome and Florence possible in about 90 minutes. Lake Bolsena is close by as are the towns of Viterbo and Montefiascone.
